Graduation 2025!

On 1 August, Guvon Academy proudly celebrated the graduation of our Class of 2025! It was a wonderful occasion as we celebrated the hard work, dedication and achievements of our graduates. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and wish them every success as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.

We were also delighted to recognise three outstanding students with special awards:

Academic Achiever Award: Caitlin Morgan
Presented to a student who demonstrates consistently exceptional academic performance across all areas of their programme, Caitlin was recognised for her dedication, high achievement and exemplary academic work.

Practical Achiever Award: Silindile Ngwenya
This award recognises outstanding practical competence, attention to detail, consistency and a strong work ethic. Silindile’s tenacity and commitment to excellence made her a deserving recipient of this award.

Chief Executive Officer’s Award: Montlha Kganyago
Recognising hard work, perseverance, leadership and the ability to thrive under pressure, Montlha stood out for her positive attitude, creativity, problem-solving skills and willingness to support and mentor fellow students.

Congratulations to all our graduates and award recipients! May this achievement be the beginning of many exciting opportunities and a future filled with success. We look forward to seeing all that the Class of 2025 will accomplish!

I’ve probably campaigned harder for a pyjama day than any other staff initiative.

Matric Cookoff!

Our Matric Cook-Off was a fantastic celebration of creativity, passion and culinary talent! We were thrilled to welcome talented matric learners who put their skills to the test in the kitchen, showcasing their creativity, technique and love for food.

A special congratulations goes to Aphiwe from Germiston High School, who impressed the judges with an outstanding performance and was crowned the winner of the Matric Cook-Off!
