July has been another exciting month at Guvon Academy, with a new bursary recipient announced, students returning for the second semester, preparations underway for our upcoming Open Day, and an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of Nelson Mandela Day.

A warm welcome back to all our returning students as we begin another exciting semester at Guvon Academy.
We hope everyone enjoyed a well-deserved break and has returned refreshed, motivated and ready to continue developing their culinary and hospitality skills. We look forward to another successful semester filled with growth, learning and new opportunities.

Congratulations to Matthew Ncube, the recipient of the 2026 Guvon Academy Bursary.
Matthew’s passion for the culinary arts, commitment to achieving his goals, and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry made him a deserving recipient of this life-changing opportunity.
The bursary awards Matthew a place in Guvon Academy’s 3 Year Occupational Chef Programme, providing him with the opportunity to develop his skills and build a rewarding career in the culinary industry.

Join us on Saturday, 15 August at 09:00 for our upcoming Open Day.
Prospective students and their families are invited to explore our campus, meet our lecturers and discover what makes Guvon Academy the ideal place to begin a career in hospitality and the culinary arts.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the excitement of our Matric Cook-Off, where aspiring young chefs will showcase their culinary talent.
