Welcome to the latest Guvon Academy news update.
As Semester One comes to a close, we celebrate our students’ achievements, recognise individual success and reflect on another successful Academy event.
Here’s a look at what has been happening this month.
Semester One Complete
What a semester it has been!
After months of lectures, practicals, assignments and exams, our students have officially completed Semester One. It has been a busy and rewarding few months, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication, hard work and perseverance shown by every student.
Now that exams are behind you, it’s time for a well-deserved break. We hope you take the opportunity to recharge, spend time with family and friends, and celebrate everything you have achieved this semester.
As you prepare for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in Semester Two, we wish you every success. This exciting next step will give you the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience while putting your skills into practice.
Sowetan Student Feature
Congratulations to one of our talented culinary students for being featured in the Sowetan for an outstanding scone recipe.
We are incredibly proud to see our students’ passion, creativity and skills recognised beyond the classroom. Achievements like these reflect the dedication and talent we strive to develop at Guvon Academy.
Winter Market Wrap up
Our Occupational Chef students recently hosted another successful Winter Market, showcasing their culinary skills and creativity.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our external vendors, as well as the families, friends and community members who came out to support the event. Your support helped make the day a memorable success for everyone involved.
We are extremely proud of our students for the professionalism, enthusiasm and teamwork they demonstrated throughout the event.
